Community update previews Naval Warfare and Tsuru Reef for Season 4

EA's latest community update sets up Season 4, launching July 21 with the return of Naval Warfare, a new map called Tsuru Reef, and Wake Island arriving later in the season. The post also recaps Battlefield 6's growth since launch — from 9 to 15 multiplayer maps and 58 weapons — and shares a batch of Season 3 playtime stats.

Naval Warfare and Tsuru Reef

Naval Warfare returns with a new lineup of boats built for combat on open water, backed by a dynamic wave system. Tsuru Reef, one of the largest new battlefields, is designed around combined land, sea, and air combat. Wake Island returns later in the season.

Season 3 by the numbers

Railway to Golmud logged more than 16 million hours, making it Season 3's most-played map

Cairo Bazaar passed 5.7 million hours despite arriving midway through the season

Obliteration's return generated more than 413 million hours of play

Ranked Battle Royale surpassed 1 billion gameplay hours

M16A4 became the most-deployed weapon, with more than double the deployments of any other

Conquest, Breakthrough, and Battle Royale all landed within roughly 200 million hours of one another

Progression and Ranked changes

EA says Battle Pass progression now runs about 2.5 times faster than in Season 1, and Hardware Mastery unlocks primary weapon attachments roughly 50% faster. Season 4 also opens a new Ranked Battle Royale season, resetting ranks and distributing rewards based on Season 3 placement.
