Map Guide Tours European Casino and Its Collapsible 120-Meter Tower

A developer map guide walks through European Casino, the infantry-only resort map arriving with Season 5 Phase 2 on November 10. Its five featured areas range from a Greek-style pool complex to a carousel in the entertainment district, and explosives can blast fresh routes through walls and facades. A tower over 120 meters tall looms over the middle of the map, and bringing it down reshapes the central fight.

"We wanted to make the casino a functional space, one that feels credible and also offers intense infantry gameplay." — Samuel Kack, Senior Level Designer

Slot machines and casino props stand in for the sandbags of a military map. The tower took repeated testing so its collapse would deliver the spectacle without burying the center in impassable rubble, and early builds had a locker room and music stage that later became the Carousel and Wisteria Garden.

European Casino top-down layout Areas

Greek Resort & Lazy River: a raised platform with a mounted weapon covers the entrance, with a tunnel underneath and rooftops nearby for overwatch

Restaurant Le Cellier: a two-floor building above the French-style shopping street whose walls seldom survive a round

European Casino Lobby: a reception hall ringed by balconies, letting attackers hit the floor from several angles

Wisteria Garden: an open objective under a giant purple tree, reached through surrounding storefronts and paths

Carousel: tight corridors and supply crates around a ride playing carousel music

Tips from the team

Maintenance corridors behind the main spaces link objectives away from the obvious routes

Engineers carry the quickest explosives for toppling the tower or breaching walls, even with no vehicles on the map

Assault players can flank through upper-floor routes behind the storefronts

Leaving the tower standing can be the stronger play; dropping it at the right moment can force defenders out
