McNeil skin's “SECUTY” typo gets a Season 5 Phase 2 fix

The misspelled “SECUTY” patches on McNeil's standard-issue skin will be corrected in the Season 5 Phase 2 release, EA says in a post answering a week of player feedback on recent cosmetics. EA concedes that shipping a visual mistake it already knew about without saying so left players guessing whether it was on purpose, and says it is reviewing both its quality checks and how it flags such bugs.

The post also takes on the Midnight Mirage skin, whose design carries five pistols. EA says that one is deliberate, a riff on the action-film cliché of an operative with a spare sidearm on every free surface, while granting it could pass for a mistake next to the other cosmetic slips released around it.

McNeil “SECUTY” typo: a correction was already scheduled for Season 5 Phase 2

Quality control: EA is examining its internal workflows to find how the errors got through and to tighten its checks

Bug communication: under review, so known visual faults get acknowledged instead of left ambiguous

Midnight Mirage: the five-pistol look is an intentional creative concept, not a bug
