Recalibrated Match Infection Rate Peaked at 5.74% in July
July's anticheat report is the first to run on a recalibrated Match Infection Rate, retuned so heavily reported high-skill and vehicle players stop counting as infections. On that basis the month opened at 4.62%, hit a 5.74% high between July 13 and 15, and closed at 4.76%. EA Javelin turned away 277,649 cheat and tampering attempts across the same stretch.
The change lands mid-series, so the numbers either side of it aren't measuring quite the same thing: June finished at 6.59% under the old formula and restates to 4.62% under the new one. EA says an unexplained upward drift in MIR turned out to be reports piling up on legitimate players — most often veterans who live in vehicles — rather than any growth in the cheating population, and it won't publish the filtering method to keep it from being gamed.
July trajectory: 4.62% at the start, a 5.74% high from July 13 to 15, 4.86% on the 20th, and 4.76% at the time of writing
Cheat attempts blocked: 277,649 stopped by EA Javelin before they reached a match
Active cheat programs: 104 tracked (-8), of which 100 (-7) report feature failures, detection notices, downtime, or have gone offline — 96.15%
Recalibrated MIR: a long-reported account that never trips another anticheat signal and keeps clearing manual review is now read as a skilled player, not a cheater
