REDSEC Cash Cups Open September 19 Ahead of $1.3M Elite Series
EA has laid out REDSEC's competitive calendar, starting with four Season 4 Cash Cups that run September 19 through October 10 for a combined $150,000 across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas. Registration for the first two opens September 8, 2026, 19:00 UTC. The Open Series follows in late October as the qualifying route into the Elite Series, which is back in Season 5 with $1,338,000 in prizing and a Battle Royale-only format.
Season 5 also adds Rapid Royale, and Proximity Chat reaches Battle Royale on September 15.
The single-elimination weekend Cash Cups are open to anyone, the Open Series decides who earns an Elite Series seat, and the Elite Series crowns three regional champions rather than one global winner.
Cash Cup prize pools per region grow from $5,000 on September 19 to $10,000 on September 26 and October 3, then $25,000 on October 10; sign-ups for the last two open September 15, 2026, 19:00 UTC and September 22, 2026, 19:00 UTC
Open Series runs October 24 to November 21 on Battlefy: three two-day events of up to 384 teams per region in 24-team lobbies, the top 12 advancing each round, feeding a 24-team Match Point final; registration opens in early October
Elite Series slots via the Open Series: 15 each for the Americas and EMEA, 24 for APAC
Elite Series runs December 4, 2026 to January 16, 2027: 48 teams per region in four groups of 12, six match days (December 4–5, 18–19, January 8–9), top 24 into a Match Point regional final sharing $446,000
Gauntlet is dropped from Elite play after EA reviewed how both modes held up competitively
Season Finals broadcasts on January 16, 2027: APAC 09:00 UTC, EMEA 18:00 UTC, Americas 23:00 UTC
Rapid Royale is a Season 5 variant of Battle Royale with fewer players, a smaller play space, quicker-moving circles, and shorter rounds. Proximity Chat's first iteration is limited to Battle Royale, and EA says it will keep tuning audio range, clarity, and moderation tools after launch.
